We invite you to take part in a survey conducted by the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Science. This self-assessment instrument aims to measure values in mathematics classrooms based on the three main constructs: general education values, mathematics education values, and values related to mathematics.
The score will assist respondents to identify the details related to their strengths and weakness on the three constructs and nine sub-constructs. Individuals can use the feedback for self-improvements and developments on values in teaching and learning. On the other hand, education organizations may use the conceptual framework to complement the existing values model. This is because the conceptual framework and the instrument can be customized for various discipline of knowledge. The scores can also assist in drafting suitable actions for professional developments with regards to the teaching and learning professions. There are two parts to the survey: the first collects a few details on the respondents and the second collects information on the constructs related to values in mathematics classrooms.
